Camaro-Muscle car that produced in 1967 to 1969 with the model of a new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform available in several option, such as coupe or convertible with a choice of 250 cu in (4.1 L) inline-6, 2-door, 2+2 seating and 327 cu in (5.4 L), 302 cu in (4.9 L), 307 cu in (5.0 L), 350 cu in (5.7 L), or 396 cu in (6.5 L) V8 powerplants. Actually the First-Generation of Camaro is produced in September 1966.
The successfull of Ford Mustang stimulate the executive of Chevrolet to realize that their compact sporty car namely Corvair will be able to increase sales volume as Mustang because of its rear-engine design. Unpredicable the sales of its car decline because of partly due to the bad publicity from Ralph Nader's book, Unsafe at Any Speed. Therefore, the Camaro was touted as having the same front-engine configuration as Mustang and Chevy II Nova and conventional rear-drive. Besides it, the Camaro was designed to fit a variety of power plants in the engine bay. This first generation of Camaro produced until 1969, then inspire the design of the new fifth-generation of Camero.
