Second Generation of Camaro introduced in February 1970

The second generation of Chevrolet Camaro was introduced in February 1970 through the 1981 model year. The car was really restyled become wider and larger. It becomr new styling at that time. The design based on  the F-body platform, unibody structure,  the new styling Camaro was similar to its old, an A-arm front suspension and leaf springs to control the solid rear axle and  front subframe. the news about the 10 best cars in the world was realized by Road & Track magazine in August 1971. The magazine picked the 1971 SS350 as one of them. SS, RS, and Z28 performance gradually disappeared. The Z28 was republish in 1977, great in response to the success of its corporate stablemate, the Pontiac Trans Am.

The successfull of Ford Mustang stimulate the executive of Chevrolet to realize that their compact sporty car namely Corvair will be able to increase sales volume as Mustang because of its rear-engine design. Unpredicable the sales of its car decline because of partly due to the bad publicity from Ralph Nader's book, Unsafe at Any Speed. Therefore, the Camaro was touted as having the same front-engine configuration as Mustang and Chevy II Nova and conventional rear-drive. Besides it, the Camaro was designed to fit a variety of power plants in the engine bay. This first generation of Camaro produced until 1969, then inspire the design of the new fifth-generation of Camero.

GM lifted the ban on movement in middle cars, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Buick and responded with 455-cid mills with up to 370 hp. The Origin of Plymouth 1969 Road Runner Muscle Car

In the United States between 1968 and 1980 the Plymouth division of Chrysler Corporation built muscle car named Plymouth Road Runner. In 1968, in the opinion of many, the former were muscle cars, moving away from its roots become cheaper, The faster car than become the options of them.
