The 2011 Toyota Yaris is a subcompact that has the fuel budget of a hybrid. It runs at 29 miles per gallon for city driving and 35 miles per gallon for open highways. It is lightweight and can simply fit four adults. The 2011 model is now available in more color choices and has been fitted with an electronic brake-override system. The price of the 2011 Yaris starts at $13,615.

The new Yaris comes in three body styles: the four-door hatchback, the two-door hatchback and the four-door sedan. The colors Yellow Jolt, Zephyr Blue and Carmine Red Metallic have been discontinued but new colors such as white and silver have been added. This vehicle is just 12 feet long so room for cargo is a bit of a problem. As for leg space, the sedan type Yaris has a bit more of that compared to the other two body styles. The height of the vehicle is not a problem because there is sufficient room for the passengers to sit upright exclussive of hitting their heads in the ceiling.

The instrument panel of the 2011 Toyota Yaris is something that needs getting used to since it is not placed right in front of the driver. The instrument panel of the Yaris is located on the central pod which is not its usual location. There is only one type of trim for this vehicle but its exterior appearance can be upgraded by adding add-ons such as alloy wheels. Sport packages are also accessable where color-keyed spoilers can be added as well as fog lamps and "S Badging". The Sport Package also allows the car owner to have elective bucket seats installed mutually with a steering wheel with leather accents and leather-covered shift knob.

The 2011 Toyota Yaris comes with a 4-cylinder engine with 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. It has an output of 106 horsepower which is sufficient enough for a car that is only 2,300 pounds. The new Yaris also has another new feature aside from the brake override method and it is the sun visor extension. This is a very minor addition but it is roughly needed in a Yaris for the reason that the windshield area is very restricted.

This vehicle is very simple; it has no leather upholstery, sun roof, heated seats or navigation system. It may be sparse in extra features but its safety features are more than sufficient with its traction control, anti-lock brakes and an anti-skid method.
